Jones Russell lives the dream in his new film “A Lot about Nothin’…..”.
Filmed just prior to Mark McGowan’s Great Western Australia border closure, the film was smuggled out of WA by an AFL Melbourne Demon’s fan who said he had secreted the footage away as part of his escape, in what he termed his “prison wallet”. It seems apt now to release the film on the eve of the borders re-opening.
Capturing a simpler time, it also captures Jones clinically dissecting two of WA’s most famous breaks, North Point and The Box.
The project was filmed by James Strickland and Tom Jennings, and edited by Samuel Rutherford.
Soundtrack by Mini Skirt and Shining Bird.
